He won his first big medal as a 16-year-old at the 1995 WC, it was a bronze medal. He also has in his medal collection four gold medals from individual events at the World Championships in 1997, 2002, 2003 and 2007, and in 1996–2012 he received two gold, two silver and one bronze Olympic medals.

Matej Tóth is a Slovak athlete who walks 20 km and 50 km. He is gold medal winner in Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist and won Athlete of the Year for Europe.
